Great welcome from new staff who I had not met before and mezzanine rooms are superb/ The breakfast room is just the right size that I usually end up in conversations with other guest; staff here were also really friendly and did an excellent job. They enquired for trains, taxi's etc to get me home to Doncaster but to no avail. I had no choice but to book in. Last week we had 16 US high school counsellors visit us at the University of Sheffield and we made a group booking for them to stay with you. I just wanted to reach out to say thank you for all of your help during their stay, particularly when it came to lots of last-minute requests and taxi bookings. "Simple things were done well and professionally. Our meal on the second day was moved to the meeting room to save us time. Bags were stored for us with no fuss. Everyone was checked in so you only had to hand out the keys (this usually takes ages, when everyone is tired and just wants to get to their room). Breakfast was good and well served. All in all, really good, well done – it will make us want to come back to Sheffield!"

"A quick 2 day visit to Sheffield to visit my son last weekend and this hotel feels like home from home. This is my 2nd stay and I've also booked for early September. It's central to the city centre, shopping and restaurants, with a Costa Coffee across the road in Orchard Square. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are a good size and you can tell that the towels and bedding are of good quality. The staff are professional, courteous and very engaging. What I love most about this hotel is that it has a lone female guest programme. When you book directly with them, you let them know you're on your own and you're strategically placed in the hotel so you're never too far from the lift, plus you have the extra chain on the door and your room number isn't mentioned at reception when checking in. I also applaud their sustainability programme: if you don't mind foregoing your room being cleaned each night of your stay, you're given. I can see me becoming a regular visitor here, both with my husband and on my own. Love The Leopold. on our trips to Sheffield, and now we've found it.”

We had a wonderful stay (and our room was lovely) at the Leopold Hotel made even better by our experience of the great hospitality shown to us by SHU. The team at the Leopold Hotel are always professional and greet us with a smile no matter if we’re checking in, having breakfast or enjoying a drink in the lounge. This is refreshing since that type of service has started to disappear in today’s society.
