They’re nearly here and you know you need to plan something to keep the kids entertained but ‘just what’ keeps on eluding you… so we have a little bit of inspiration for this year’s Half-Term School Holidays. Depending on what the glorious English weather has in store why not take your pick from:
Sunshine Days – Graves Park with its adventure playground, mini-golf and funfair. Rother Valley Country Park if you’re feeling a little more sporting with is extensive water sports as well as the outdoor play area and golfing centre. How about Junior Karting (over 8’s) for a few thrilling laps of the Parkwood Karting Track?! For those ‘cheeky monkeys’ entertain them at IceSheffield with the Ariel Extreme adventure ropes course or if you fancy a whole day in the ‘peaks’ why not visit Blue-John Cavern & Mine in Hope valley and take a tour to see the magnificent natural water worn caverns – there’s also a lovely café for the faint hearted to hide or if in need of a strong black coffee to steady the nerves before you go ‘underground’!
Wellie Weather – try one painless bruise less laser tag Quaser or challenge themselves on the 200 routes at the Foundry Climbing centre. If you fancy a few thrills and perhaps a few spills then why not have a go at ice skating at IceSheffield, sparkly tights optional – Mums only that is!!
And don’t forget if you are based at the Leopold Hotel Sheffield, you can grab a tram right outside the hotel and head off to Centertainment and Meadowhall Shopping Complex.
