If you fancy a laugh or two and getting away from the hum-drum of everyday life then we have the answer. Throughout October Sheffield’s City Hall has a whole host of comedians arriving to entertain you. Only a quick dash (no doubt in the rain!) across our Terrace in Leopold Square you are in the warmth and dry of the City Hall with its star studded line up.
From the likes of Dara O’Briain who will be performing just next door at the City Hall on the 5th and 6th October, to Michael McIntyre who is at the Motorpoint Arena for three nights 10th,11th & 12th October 2012. So either trot over the terrace to the City Hall where there are many many more comedians lined up for October or hop on the tram which stops outside of the Leopold Hotel and treat yourself to a few good giggles.
Amongst the big names in the Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall are Dara O’Briain with his Craic Dealer show on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October, followed swiftly by Alan Davies on 13th October as he makes a long-awaited return to the live stage. Kevin Bridges has sold out two nights on the 18th and 29th October and festival regular Ross Noble, who calls himself the demonic scarecrow, visits on Saturday 20th October 2012.
The Memorial Hall is brimming with comedy from emerging talent to household names. With nearly 70 years experience between them, the Memorial starts its laughter in good hands with Mick Miller and Jimmy Cricket on Tuesday 2nd October. Wednesday 3rd gets a bit modern with extra-curricular activities and pop educators Frisky and Mannish, followed swiftly by Yorkshires own Tom Wrigglesworth on Thursday 4th October and Paul Sinha on Sunday 7th.
